With all that’s been going on, it’s no surprise that our Paris Fashion Week trip has to be separated into a few posts. Today is all about the Boris Bidjan Saberi Fall/Winter 2016 show.

Last season saw the German-Persian designer experimenting with vivid blues and reds, but this season’s Fall/Winter 2016 “Squadron” collection has him back to his monochromatic roots. For “Squadron”, the colour of choice was grey. From a barely off-white stone hue to a deep charcoal and even marl knitwear, the depth of the shade perfectly complemented BBS’s strongly layered aesthetics.

While the clothes stuck to their simple colours, its finishing was anything but simple, impressing us with a few gimmicks. One of the standouts was the backs of the bomber jackets which were drawn up to create awkward bunching, proving that the designer always has a way with leather. Another thing that totally caught our attention was the mirrored sunglasses suspended over noses via metal headbands - a clever collaboration with Werkstatt:M√ľnchen.
